Alexander Zverev was delighted with his Davis Cup performance against Stan Wawrinka, describing it as his best performance since returning from a lengthy injury break. Before his audience in Trier, Zverev beat Wawrinka 6-4, 6-1 to tie the Davis Cup tie between Germany and Switzerland to one victory apiece after the first day.
