Two-time NWSL champion Yazmeen Ryan has been traded from NJ/NY Gotham FC to the Houston Dash, multiple sources confirmed to The Equalizer.

Houston is expected to send cash to Gotham in return for Ryan, with multiple sources pegging the number at $400,000 total. The deal was done before Friday evening’s transaction moratorium, sources confirmed.

The cash transaction is believed to be the largest cash fee in NWSL history for an internal league trade — and it’s double what Angel City FC paid the Portland Thorns ($200,000) two years ago in a three-team trade that sent Ryan to Gotham FC.

Earlier this year, the Chicago Red Stars traded forward Penelope Hocking to Bay FC for $350,000 in intra-league funds, paid out over two seasons (and with a 10% sell-on fee).
