XI NWSL things I’d like to see in 2024 and beyond – Equalizer Soccer

The National Women’s Soccer League season is already less than two months away. With kickoff fast approaching, here are 11 things I would like to see from our favorite soccer league for this year and beyond. Some are repeats from past lists, some are new, some you may be tired of seeing:

I. Act like you belong:  The new season comes complete with a shiny new broadcast agreement that will see games broadcast nationally on four different platforms — some familiar, some brand new. There will be 14 teams and the games will be played in front of more sold-out stadiums and wild atmospheres than ever before. We no longer have to play in Portland to assure a TV match has a worthy vibe to it.

That said, my hope is that NWSL and its broadcast partners allow this to stand on its own merits. I don’t need every broadcast leading off by telling me how wonderful the league is or what great opportunities the players have or how much they are making, or that sponsor dollars are up.
