Pro wrestling’s Super Bowl returns with a bang as WWE presents WrestleMania 40 from April 6-7. The event in Philadelphia airs on Peacock in the U.S. and the WWE Network worldwide.
WrestleMania first became a reality in 1985, and it has transformed into a global spectacle. Since 2020, WrestleMania has become a two-night event featuring some of your favorite pro wrestlers. Titles and legacies are on the line, while grudges will get solved.
Royal Rumble winners Bayley and Cody Rhodes will be featured at the event. Bayley faces former Damage CTRL teammate Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Title. Bayley returned in 2022 from injury and created Damage CTRL, with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky joining her. Kairi Sane and Asuka later joined, and Bayley learned Sky, Asuka, and Sane were all talking about her behind her back. A heel since 2019, Bayley is back to being a face.
Rhodes was initially going to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. However, his path is unclear, thanks to the return of The Rock. “The People’s Champion” appeared on a recent episode of SmackDown and seemingly challenged Reigns for his title as “Head of the Table.”
