The previous PLE saw a sensational crossover title match between TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, only for the Men’s Battle Royale that followed — for the right to face NXT Champion Trick Williams — to unveil the crossover debut of TNA superstar Joe Hendry.
