The WTA claims “no decision” has yet been made regarding the 2024 WTA Finals location. Saudi Arabia, which was heavily rumored for months as the location for the 2023 season, ultimately wasn’t picked as the host country for this year’s season-ending tournament.
But Saudi Arabia remains keen on hosting the WTA Finals as rumors have circulated over the last couple of days that the Kingdom and the WTA are closing in on a multiyear deal. Reuters reached out to the WTA representatives regarding the rumors that Saudi Arabia is set to get the multiyear right to host the prestigious season-ending tournament.
“We are in discussions with various groups surrounding the 2024 WTA Finals and beyond and have not made any decisions at this time. As with all WTA decisions, we are working closely with players and focused on continuing to build a strong future for women’s tennis,” the WTA said in an email to Reuters.

It took until September for the WTA to announce Cancun as the 2023 WTA Finals host. In Cancun, the participants weren’t happy at all about the court conditions and tricky weather.
