This weekend, the 2024 World Track & Field Championships will commence in Glasgow, Scotland for the 19th edition of these finals.
A total of 651 competitors from 130 nations will face off in the World Championships ahead of the next major event this summer: the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Over three days, starting March 1 and ending March 3, 26 events (13 women, 13 men) will take place at Emriates Arena in Scotland.
USA’s Noah Lyles headlines the event, as the 100m and 200m outdoor world champion will try for gold in the 60m dash. Christian Coleman, a USA teammate of Lyles’, will also compete for gold in the same event.
Josh Kerr headlines the distance side of the track, as he recently set the indoor world record for the two-mile at 8:00.67. He will compete in the 3000m run.
Britain’s Molly Caudery and USA’s Katie Moon, the latter of whom is one of the greatest pole vaulters of her time, will compete in pole vault. Moon is the reigning Olympic champ and a two-time world champion.
