Past Olympic Women’s Soccer Tournaments
Canada won the Gold Medal at the 2020 Olympics, with Sweden getting silver and the USWNT taking home bronze. Only three countries in the 2024 Olympics have ever won a Gold Medal in women’s soccer: the United States, Canada, and Germany.
The USWNT has won four Olympic tournaments since women’s soccer started at the Games in 1996, which they earned in 1996, 2004, 2008, and 2012.

The women’s soccer tournament at the Paris Olympics begins before the opening ceremony, and the first day of matches takes place on Thursday, July 25. There are three groups for the women’s soccer tournament at the Olympics. They are:
