Women’s Running have won the Podcast of the Year award for the second year running and the PPA Independent Publisher Awards 2022. Esther and Holly were thrilled to accept the award on behalf of the whole Women’s Running Podcast team on Friday.
The award, presented by Acast, was given to Women’s Running by the judges because they deemed the podcast to be ‘very unique and special’. They commended the way the podcast engages with its ‘dedicated listeners’ in a very ‘personal way’.
Esther, Holly and the whole team were thrilled to accept the award. They were also excited to meet Mock the Week comedian Angela Barnes who, they discovered, is also a keen runner.
“This is a joint win for all of us,” said Holly. “I absolutely love the Pod Squad we’ve built together, and I’m so pleased that the judges saw how special this community, and running, is.”
The Women’s Running team were also shortlisted for the Diversity and Inclusion Award again, which they won in 2021. Colouring Heaven, a sister brand at Anthem Publishing, was shortlisted for Consumer Publication of the Year. Well done to all those involved.
