It was an exciting night for the Women’s Running team at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards last Friday. The awards celebrate the best of the independent publishing industry, with a competitive shortlist and over 25 awards categories.
Four wins in four years
The Women’s Running podcast has taken the win for Podcast of the Year for the last three years running, so we were elated to win for a fourth consecutive time. The judges commented on our record listen numbers, as well as content extensions like our Patreon community and Discord chat. A huge thank you to the Pod Squad listeners who make all of this possible.
An award-winning editor
Fresh from our podcast win, our very own Esther Newman was awarded Editor of the Year. With stiff competition, we were hugely impressed that the judges singled her out for her editorial authority, commitment to inclusivity and her authentic and compassionate approach to journalism.
