Women’s Running podcast wins Podcast of the Year for third year in a row

The Women’s Running team were delighted to win Podcast of the Year 2023 at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards on Friday. This is the third win on the trot for the Women’s Running podcast, with previous wins at the 2021 PPA Awards and the 2022 awards.

Judges praised the ‘superb example’ that the podcast showed ‘of how independent publishers can reach their target audience through innovative, purpose driven content that offers a huge amount of value to all sides’.

Hosts Esther and Holly were thrilled to accept the award on behalf of the whole team, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the podcast great.

Anthem Publishing were shortlisted for a total of seven awards, including Independent Publisher of the Year, in a particularly competitive field that included more entries than ever before.

“I’m absolutely chuffed that we’re taking home the award for Podcast of the Year once again,” said Holly. “It’s been an amazing year for the Pod Squad: from running the Paris Half Marathon together to hosting our first live and in-person event. This feels like a win we can all be proud of.”

“I can’t tell you how proud we are, how excited we are, how loud we shrieked,” said Esther. “This is for the Pod Squad! You guys are the best.”
