The anticipation for the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament is the highest in years – maybe ever.
Record-setting scorer Caitlin Clark has Iowa in the national championship hunt. South Carolina is unbeaten. LSU is looking to defend the national championship, and there is star power everywhere.
A total of 32 teams will have automatic bids in the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, and several of those bids for the major conferences will be determined this weekend.
The first tournament bid has been decided. UT-Martin (16-15) plays Southern Indiana (23-6) in the OVC championship on Saturday. The Skyhawks claim the tournament bid because the Screaming Eagles are in the process of reclassifying to Division I.
Selection Sunday is March 17. This year’s Final Four is April 5-7 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.
