The 2023 Women’s FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United is set to be played at a sold out Wembley for the first time.
The FA announced all tickets for the match at the 90,000 capacity stadium have sold out 11 days out from the showpiece event.
The fixture will also see VAR and goal line technology in use for the first time in the competition’s history.
The Women’s FA Cup final has been staged at Wembley since 2015 and an attendance record of 49,094 was set during last season’s final between Chelsea and Manchester City. Chelsea ran out 3-2 winners in extra time.
This season’s final is set to comfortably eclipse that figure and should set a new record for the highest attended women’s club match in England, which was only recently broken during Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final defeat against Wolfsburg. A crowd of 60,063 were at the Emirates to see Wolfsburg’s 3-2 extra-time victory.
It represents the fourth successive women’s fixture at Wembley to sell out following the Euro 2022 final, October’s friendly between England and the USWNT and April’s Finalissima between England and Brazil.
