This is going to be good. For the second time in three years, rivals Oklahoma and Texas will face off in the Women’s College World Series finals.
The Sooners, who have won the last three titles, had to fight back after losing their first semifinal game 9-3 to Florida. They bounced back for the deciding game, coming back to down the Gators 6-5 in eight innings thanks to a walk-off homerun by Jayda Coleman.
Unlike 2022’s matchup between the Red River rivals, Texas is the No. 1 seed in the tournament for the first time. It’s proved why, not allowing a single run in its WCWS games against Stanford and Florida.
But now is the biggest challenge. It’s a best-of-three series between for Oklahoma and Texas. Last time they played, the Sooners got the last laugh, winning their final Big 12 title 5-1. It’ll be a different kind of fight with the championship on the line.
Here’s everything to know about the series, including a schedule, scores and how to watch.
