Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina will miss Monday’s clash with Nottingham Forest through injury but Andre is expected to be available despite returning to Brazil for the birth of his son.
Andre has travelled to his homeland for the birth of his child but Molineux head coach Vitor Pereira says the Brazil international has made “a commitment” to be back for Monday’s game.
“Andre is not a problem for us but he is not here because his son was born in Brazil,” said Pereira.
“I think a father must be with his son and with his wife. This is a moment that I cannot say no to. This is like a commitment between him and me. The commitment is he must come back for the game.”
Former captain Lemina has missed all three of Pereira’s games in charge so far with a calf injury and he is not expected back to face Forest.
If Andre’s return is delayed, it would mean a rare start for Tommy Doyle alongside Joao Gomes at the heart of midfield. Pablo Sarabia is also still injured.
“The squad is short and I’m trying to find the solutions,” said Pereira. “I cannot put a player at risk because I might need him for the next game.
