WNBA: Will Stewart, Wilson win MVP in 2024?

It’s time to predict the WNBA award winners. We’ve taken a look at the Rookie of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Now, it’s time to discuss the biggest regular season award out there: MVP.

Who will win the Most Valuable Player award in 2024?


Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty)

The WNBA is oozing with talent, but let’s begin with last year’s winner, Breanna Stewart.

2023 was Stewart’s first year in New York and arguably her best season ever. She averaged 23 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, which all were career-best numbers. She did so as the bona fide number one, never missing a game.

Besides just putting up more numbers, how can she improve? By winning it all. Stewart and the Liberty fell short against the Las Vegas Aces, and while the postseason will not factor into the MVP award, being the top seed at the end of the regular season certainly will.

If New York can win the Commissioner’s Cup again and be the top seed with Stewart at the helm, perhaps she can fend off her competition and secure back-to-back MVPs.
