WNBA: Seattle Storm begin new era against Minnesota Lynx in home opener

Date:

The Seattle Storm will host the Minnesota Lynx this Tuesday, May 14 as part of the WNBA’s 2024 slate of opening day games. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on WNBA League Pass, as well as local channels for both the Seattle and Minneapolis regions.

The Storm are coming off a down year in which they went just 11-29, but rather than languishing through an extended rebuilding period, Seattle was able to add a significant amount of talent in free agency, signing Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike to play alongside incumbent star Jewell Loyd. Both Diggins-Smith and Ogwumike mentioned wanting to play with Loyd during their introductory press conference, and also cited the Storm’s investment in their players as another reason for choosing to play in Seattle.
