After a regular season of historic proportions, the 2023 WNBA Playoffs are here.
Headlining the group of eight postseason teams are the defending champion Las Vegas Aces, who grabbed the No. 1 overall seed with a 34-6 record, including a 19-1 mark at home. Not far behind are the No. 2 seed New York Liberty, who enter the postseason with a 32-8 record, including an impressive 17-3 mark away from NYC.
As a reminder, WNBA Playoff teams are seeded regardless of conference, meaning a number of first-round matchups are interconference pairings.
2023 marks the second year of the WNBA’s reconfigured playoff format in which the first round is a best-of-three while the semifinals and finals will be decided in best-of-five series.
