WNBA: Phoenix Mercury defeat Atlanta Dream behind Griner, Taurasi

On Friday, Aug. 23, the Atlanta Dream hosted the Phoenix Mercury for the second of a two-game set. After Atlanta won the first contest on Wednesday, with Tina Charles becoming the No. 2 scorer in WNBA history in the process, Phoenix earned the edge on Friday, snapping the Dream’s three-game winning streak with the 82-80 victory.
