WNBA: League launches reproductive healthy equity initiaitve

The WNBA, Opill and Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) are teaming up to “Level the Court.”

This initiative intends inform fans about their reproductive health choices through a dedicated page on WNBA.com, which features first-hand accounts, answers to common questions and information about accessing Opill, an over-the-counter daily birth control pill, at low or no cost.

To further foster reproductive health equity and access through “Level the Court,” the WNBA will sponsor events at HBCUs hosted by Opill and BWHI. The campus tour schedule is:

  • Mar. 28: Lincoln University
  • Apr. 1: University of Texas at San Antonio
  • Apr. 16: Spelman College

As part of “WNBA on Campus,” the league, in partnership with Opill, also will host an event on Feb. 25 at the University of South Carolina, which will include players appearances, giveaways, a DJ, games and more.
