The long WNBA offseason has officially begun, and there will be more activity than usual this winter. Not only because of the upcoming expansion draft to fill out the Golden State Valkyries’ roster, but due to the unusual number of coaching changes.
After the Connecticut Sun parted ways with Stephanie White on Monday, seven of the league’s 13 teams do not have a coach: the Atlanta Dream, Chicago Sky, Dallas Wings, Indiana Fever, Los Angeles Sparks, Washington Mystics and Sun. It’s no surprise that group includes the five worst teams in the league last season.
