WNBA: Can tarot cards foretell the 2025 WNBA season?

With the WNBA’s free agency period about to officially start on Feb. 1, we need to acknowledge how wild things are about to get. With a new CBA set to be negotiated after the 2025 season, many players will opt to sign one-year deals.

And already, there have been TWO blockbuster trades! The first saw Jewell Loyd go to the Las Vegas Aces, Kelsey Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks and the No. 2 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft to the Seattle Storm. Alyssa Thomas going from the Connecticut Sun to the Phoenix Mercury was another huge shock. And Brittney Griner will leave the Mercury to sign with the Atlanta Dream. There is also a new team in the mix, with the Golden State Valkyries heading into the free agency period ready to spend some cash.

Safe to say, the WNBA is going to look very different in 2025. So, let’s try to prepare for what’s to come.
