The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft reminded everyone why she was the top selection. After missing multiple games due to a concussion and illness, Paige Bueckers returned to the court and exploded for a career-high 35 points against the Phoenix Mercury.

She was nearly unstoppable, shooting 13-of-19 from the field and 5-of-7 from three-point range, showcasing the efficiency and scoring arsenal that made her a college sensation and now, a rising WNBA star.
Despite the Dallas Wings falling short once again, continuing a tough season with only one win, Bueckers owned the spotlight. She also added six rebounds and four assists, showing she’s more than just a scorer.
With the performance, Bueckers became just the fourth rookie in Wings franchise history to score 30 or more points in a game, joining the likes of her teammate, Arike Ogunbowale, who last did it in 2019.
