Wings’ Maddy Siegrist out through WNBA break after finger surgery

Dallas Wings forward Maddy Siegrist will be out approximately eight weeks after undergoing finger surgery Thursday.

Siegrist, 24, fractured her left index finger on her non-shooting hand in the first quarter of Monday night’s loss at Minnesota.

The Wings estimated Friday that her earliest return would be in mid-August, when league play resumes after the Paris Olympics.

Siegrist is averaging 14.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 13 games (11 starts) in her second WNBA season. The No. 3 pick in the 2023 draft averaged 3.7 points in 39 games off the bench in her rookie season.
