Wilson has released the first version of tennis racquets in the new Shift franchise, focused on delivering exceptional spin and power. The WILSON LABS team conducted a thorough three-phase testing process, incorporating feedback from athletes and consumers worldwide. The perfected final product is available now.
The highly innovative, patent-pending, ARC 3D frame technology optimizes lateral bending like no racquet ever before. That, paired with best-in-class stability, provides players with the ability to hit heavy spin.
Through extensive testing of the Shift prototype, Wilson gained valuable insights, leading to three significant modifications:
- Wilson adjusted the balance point of the Shift 99, elevating the sweet spot location on the frame while increasing the swing weight.
- Responding to the needs of players seeking a lighter option, Wilson introduced the Shift 99L version of the racquet, set to be launched on September 1.
- In response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from athletes, Wilson retained the arctic ice design, complete with the color-shifting, prism texture.
