Rory McIlroy’s Masters victory was nothing short of epic, but fans are now calling him out for his victory speech.

The 35-year-old golfer completed the Grand Slam after a dramatic win over Justin Rose in a tense playoff, finally claiming the Masters title on Sunday, April 13. 

The win, coupled with the presence of his wife, Erica Stoll, and daughter, Poppy, made the moment even more special, but one thing left fans scratching their heads: McIlroy didn’t mention Stoll’s name during his speech.

Despite a nerve-wracking series of mistakes, including a missed putt on No. 18 that threatened to derail his win, McIlroy managed to clinch the victory in a playoff. Afterward, the emotional golfer rushed to embrace Stoll, 37, and their 4-year-old daughter, Poppy. Yet, in his victory speech, McIlroy thanked his “family,” but left out Stoll, focusing solely on the little one in his message about never giving up.
