LAS VEGAS — On Thursday, Las Vegas Aces guard Kelsey Plum criticized the WNBA for, she said, not providing tickets to this weekend’s All-Star Game festivities for players who were not participating in any formal events. “ALL WNBA players should get a ticket to the all star game/skills challenge, I’m sick of my people being treated second class,” Plum tweeted. “The league gotta be better, there is no excuse.”
Plum was responding to a tweet from Aces forward Alysha Clark, who wrote she was “trying to do is go support my teammates and friends at the All Star game…Hope I can find some tickets.” Both tagged WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert in their tweets, imploring the league’s commissioner to resolve any possible issues.
Kelsey Plum called out the WNBA for not providing players with tickets to this weekend’s #WNBAAllStar festivities as numerous players are struggling to get access to the events.
