Lionel Messi’s impending move to Inter Miami is causing a wave of excitement ahead of his arrival in the USA.
Club owner Jorge Mas has confirmed the deal is wrapped up to bring Messi to the club with his debut expected to come on July 21 against Mexican side Cruz Azul in the inter-continental Leagues Cup.
Messi has made the decision to end his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, with a rumoured return to Barcelona not emerging, as he opted for a switch to the USA.
The 35-year-old will be playing outside of Europe for the first time in his club career with his family set for a new life in Florida.

The pair initially had a long-distance relationship, with Messi in Barcelona and Rocuzzo in Rosario as she completed her University degree, before their engagement in 2010 and she moved to Spain permanently.
