Hailie Mace’s USWNT journey
Mace wears the No. 8 shirt for her national team and has been on the radar of the global giants’ senior coaching staff for six years.
Between 2018 and 2022, the defender spent time with the U.S. Under 23s squad, and scored her first international goal for the youth side.
The experienced player has made several appearances for the USWNT first team and was a part of the 2018 CONCACAF winning selection.
Mace will be hoping to add another USWNT cap to her CV this fall. Before now, her last call-up came before international friendlies back in 2022.
A Kansas City Current mainstay
Mace was the second overall selection in the 2019 NWSL Draft, joining Kansas City from their fellow NWSL competitors North Carolina Courage in 2021.
Pulling on the No. 4 jersey for her club, the right-back is third in all-time club assists for the Kansas outfit, with more than 1,500 minutes played in both 2022 and 2023.
