After a winning start to their international break, U.S. Women’s National Team will hope to continue their run when they take on Jamaica at Energizer Park on Tuesday, June 3.
The USWNT bagged a comprehensive 3-0 victory over China PR in the first of the two friendlies on Saturday. Goals from Catarina Macario and Sam Coffey in the first half set up a perfect night’s work, with Lindsey Horan scoring a third in the second half for good measure.
The upcoming clash against Jamaica marks the sixth meeting between the two sides, with the Americans holding a flawless 5-0 record and a staggering +31 goal difference (31-0). They last met back in 2022, when they hammered Jamaica 5-0 during the 2022 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
While Jamaica is presently ranked 40th by FIFA and did not qualify for this summer’s Olympics, they have remain competitive against quality opponents.
The Reggae Girlz recently suffered a 3-0 defeat to France, but bounced back with back-to-back victories over South Africa and two road wins against Peru, before stumbling with consecutive losses to Mexico.
