Only four teams remain in the NCAA women’s lacrosse tournament, and to no surprise, it’s the top four seeds. No. 1 North Carolina and No. 4 Florida will meet in the first semifinal on Friday.
North Carolina (20-0) has had a perfect season, not even faltering once in conference or postseason play. The Tar Heels have been able to hold off ACC rival Boston College in two meetings this year, but only by two goals or less each time.
Meanwhile, Florida (20-2) has also had an impressive run. Of the Gators’ two losses, one was to North Carolina in February. In this Final Four matchup, Florida may have an edge against UNC as they attempt to defend their honor.
