UConn continued its undefeated streak in the Big East this past week and looks to maintain its lead in the conference with a home match against Seton Hall tonight.

The Huskies won back-to-back games by a combined 36 points following a loss to Notre Dame on Jan. 27 and now sit two games ahead of Creighton in the conference. Aaliyah Edwards scored a career-high 33 points for UConn on Sunday while Paige Bueckers added 26 in a 78-63 win over St. John’s.

The Pirates, meanwhile, sit tied for seventh after a big loss to Villanova on Feb. 3. Azana Baines was the only Seton Hall player to score double figures in the loss. The team hasn’t won more than one game in a row since Dec. 20.

Edwards has been on a tear lately for UConn. She’s scored at least 23 points in three consecutive games with 31 rebounds over that stretch as well. Edwards averages 17.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Bueckers leads the Huskies with 20.3 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game and 3.8 assists per game. 

Baines is the stabilizing force for the Pirates. She leads Seton Hall with 15.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. That loss to Villanova was Baines worst performance in two months, as she’s scored at more than 12 points in a game since Dec. 8.
