A lot is on the line in a Big Ten matchup between Iowa and Minnesota.

The Hawkeyes could move up in the conference standings ahead of a huge clash with Ohio State this weekend, while the Golden Gophers can build some positive momentum at the end of the regular season after a tumultuous second half of the year. 

The most recent time these two teams faced off, Iowa cruised to a 94-71 win over Minnesota behind Caitlin Clark’s 35 points and 10 assists. Amaya Battle led the Golden Gophers with 16 points, five steals and five assists in that contest.

Clark continues to be one of the most dominant forces in women’s college basketball this season. She leads the country with 32.1 points per game and leads her team as well with 8.5 assists and 7.3 rebounds per contest. The Hawkeyes remain the top-scoring team in the nation, too, with 92.1 points per game. 

Minnesota started the season strong but has lost nine of its past 11 games dating back to Jan. 17.
