ACC rivals Boston College and Syracuse will meet for the third time this season in the semifinals of the 2024 NCAA women’s lacrosse tournament. The Eagles won the previous two matchups, beating the Orange on April 18 and April 28.
Boston College is looking to reach its sixth consecutive NCAA championship game and claim its second title since winning it all in 2021. The Eagles beat Michigan, 14-9, in the quarterfinals at home behind four goals from Rachel Clark and a hat trick from Kayla Martello.
Syracuse has made 10 Final Fours and three championship games, but it has never won a title. The Orange dominated Yale in the quarterfinals, 19-9, thanks to seven goals from Emma Tyrrell and hat tricks from Olivia Adamson, Savannah Sweitzer and Emma Ward. Goalkeeper Delaney Sweitzer made seven saves in the win.
