With a successful second UFL regular season in the books, the 2025 UFL Playoffs get underway this weekend. The action kicks off Sunday afternoon with Stallions vs. Panthers in the USFL title game, but the main event is the XFL Conference Championship between the St. Louis Battlehawks and DC Defenders on Sunday night.
The Battlehawks (8-2) and Defenders (6-4) have been arguably the two best teams in the league this season. The top teams from the XFL Conference tied for a league-high seven All-UFL Team selections, and they split their regular-season series 1-1.
St. Louis, which scored 231 points on the campaign and had a plus-minus of a whopping +68, rode its top-ranked rushing attack to six straight wins to close out the regular season. DC won six of its first eight games but scuffled a bit late in the season. The slate is clean for this rivalry game, though, and it should be a damn good one.
