The Marquette Golden Eagles are coming.
After earning a No. 2 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Marquette earned a spot in the Sweet 16 after pulling away from 15-seed Western Kentucky and holding off 10-seed Colorado during opening weekend.
While it’s the first Sweet 16 appearance for Marquette in over a decade, the school boasts a rich basketball history that includes three trips to the Final Four and a national championship in 1977.

Marquette University is located in Milwaukee, Wis.
Marquette’s main campus is an urban campus located near downtown Milwaukee. The campus is roughly a mile from Fiserv Forum, which houses both Marquette men’s basketball and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Marquette’s women’s team plays on campus at the Al McGuire Center, named after the legendary coach who led the men’s program to a national title in 1977.
