Despite Clark’s greatness, LSU’s championship experience and Watkins’ stunning freshman season, it’s South Carolina that is set to enter the tournament as the clear favorite. The Gamecocks dominated from start to finish during an undefeated regular season, and coach Dawn Staley has her sights set on a third national title.
Elsewhere, Clark has a chance to cement her greatness with a championship, while LSU is looking to become the fourth team in tournament history to win back-to-back titles.
