You could argue that the minute we set foot in Milan, is when fashion month truly starts. Now that we’ve got London out the way, we’re heading to Milan Fashion Week and the excitement is off the scale.
Running from September 20 to 25, the schedule will kick-off Wednesday with the most notable of shows being Fendi, followed by Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli, Etro and Diesel (to which online registration last month has allowed members of the general public to attend). Thursday starts with Max Mara. Prada and Emporio Armani will show the same day. After Armani, Moschino is set to celebrate 40-years of being in business complete with a collection spearheaded by super stylists Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Lucia Liu. On the same day, the fashion pack will also witness Peter Hawkings make his debut as Tom Ford’s creative director. Sabato de Sarno, the following day on Friday, will unveil his highly-anticipated first offering as the creative force behind Gucci. Tod’s, Versace and Boss will also stage their shows on the same day (see… we told you the excitement is off the scale).
