It’s official: Menswear Milan Fashion Week is just around the corner and the excitement has peeked. Pitti Uomo is already currently underway. Guest-designers at the Florence-based showcase include Magliano and S.S. Daley. Running from January 12th-16th, the 5-day schedule of MFW surely packs a punch too. Day one sees the long-awaited debut of Sabato De Sarno as Gucci’s creative director which marks the designer’s first foray into menswear design at the helm of the Italian fashion house. Friday will also see Stone Island stage its first-ever fashion show, with Canadian brothers Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 closing out day one. Saturday is guaranteed to be full of Milanese flair, with Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and Emporio Armani all showing. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons will present their latest wares at Prada on Sunday, in addition to spectacles from Tod’s and Jonathan Anderson’s eponymous menswear line. Last but not least on Monday, the undisputed 89-year-old King of Italian fashion Giorgio Armani will show, with Zegna and Missoni rounding out the menswear fashion festivities before we head off to Paris.
