March Madness might be over, but women’s basketball fans get no time to rest. We’re just days away from the 2025 WNBA Draft, which will decide where the country’s top prospects go to play professional hoops.
There’ll be no shortage of talent in New York on Monday. UConn phenom and national champion Paige Bueckers has long been the expected No. 1 pick, followed by talents like Dominique Malonga, Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen, Annesah Morrow and Hailey Van Lith.
Some big names have elected not to enter the draft even though they’re eligible, like UConn’s Azzi Fudd, LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson and Olivia Miles, who shockingly entered the transfer portal after Notre Dame’s season ended.
The WNBA season will officially begin just a month after the draft on May 16.
