Iowa defeated South Carolina, the undefeated juggernaut and reigning national champions, 77-73, handing them their first and only loss of the season. The Hawkeyes were carried by another stunning performance by Caitlin Clark, who scored 41 points for a second consecutive game.
Clark equaled Virginia Tech’s Georgia Amoore for most three-pointers ever scored in a women’s NCAA tournament game after Amoore set the record earlier against LSU, both with 33 treys during their 2023 March Madness runs.
