ORLANDO, Fla. —For Tierna Davidson, the last year has been a learning process — about her club and her national team, sure, but mostly about herself.

The United States national team and Chicago Red Stars defender returned to U.S. training camp this month for the first time since tearing her ACL last March.

“There’s a lot of opportunity for learning when you’re able to just watch the game and not participate at all,” Davidson told The Equalizer this week. “It’s just like a nine-month-long film session.
