A new World Cup kit
While the much-maligned kits introduced this fall have grown on fans, the reigning World Cup champions deserve to have the freshest fit possible for their run at a third straight title.
Sure, the white and tie-dyed blue sets worked for the men in Qatar, but the USWNT also has their golden championship patch to consider. The central placement of the US Soccer shield on the 2022 kits makes the golden patch look like awkward.
The USWNT shouldn’t be an afterthought from a design standpoint. This team should be the benchmark.
Our suggestion: A throwback jersey. Such a choice could give a nod to the previous title runs while also ushering in the new age of USWNT players.
A healthy roster
The USWNT has dealt with a number of injuries this year, but the return of key players should bolster the squad ahead of the 2023 World Cup – even if just to provide some extra competition for those who have stepped up in their absence.
