Ohio State is feeling confident after breaking UConn’s near 20-year streak of consecutive Elite Eight appearances. The Buckeyes defeated the Huskies 73-61 in the Sweet 16, utilizing their press to keep UConn down for a majority of the game.
This is the first Elite Eight appearance for the Buckeyes since 1993, and for the first time, the Big Ten has three women’s teams in the Elite Eight.
