UConn earned yet another convincing victory in the Big East as it improves to 7-0.
The Huskies defeated St. John’s 71-45 on the road, extending their win streak to six games. It was a team-wide effort as Azzi Fudd led UConn in scoring for the third straight game. She scored a team-high 13 points in 25 minutes.
The team is now 16-2 on the season and the sixth ranked team in the country.
The Huskies travel back home for a two-game homestand with Seton Hall up first on Sunday, Jan. 19. The Pirates are 1.5 games behind the Huskies in the Big East and have a 13-4 record overall.
They haven’t beaten a ranked opponent this year, but have three standout players in Faith Masonius, Jada Eads and Savannah Catalon. The three all average double-digit points and can lead the team in scoring on any given night.
Seton Hall will need each of them to step up to slow down UConn on its home floor.
