Sunday night brings another thrilling elimination game at the 2024 Women’s College World Series, with Stanford set to clash with UCLA. 

The eighth-seeded Cardinal blanked No. 5 Oklahoma State, 8-0, in an elimination game on Friday night. Nijaree Canady tossed six scoreless innings, while third baseman Jade Berry and first baseman Ava Gall each drove in two runs in the rout. 

The sixth-seeded Bruins ran into No. 2 Oklahoma, the three-time reigning WCWS champions, and fell 1-0 in a nail-biter Saturday. UCLA had just two hits, while Kaitlyn Terry took the hard-luck loss in the circle. 

The two Pac-12 foes met three times in the regular season. UCLA swept a three-game set from Stanford in mid-April, out-scoring the Cardinal 12-3 despite winning two games by two runs or less.
