A pair of top-five women’s college basketball teams clash when UCLA travels to Colorado on Friday, Jan. 19.
Third-ranked Colorado is the only team in the Pac-12 with an unbeaten conference record at 5-0. The Buffaloes have also won nine consecutive games, their longest streak since starting 13-0 in the 2021-22 season.
Colorado is coming off a 71-59 victory over then-No. 8 Stanford on Sunday. It was Buffaloes’ first top-10 matchup at the CU Events Center since Dec. 17, 1994.
Quay Miller had 13 points and 10 rebounds for her third straight double-double. Maddie Nolan scored 12 points with five rebounds and two assists. Frida Formann finished with 10 points.
The fifth-ranked Bruins are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they fell to cross-town rival USC, 73-65, on Sunday.
Charisma Osborne led the Bruins with 25 points on 8-for-18 shooting and was 9-for-9 from the free throw line.
Lauren Betts and Gabriela Jaquez scored 10 points apiece for UCLA. Betts did not start the game because she was dealing with an unspecified illness.
UCLA committed 22 turnovers against the Trojans, who scored 23 points off those gaffes.
After playing at Colorado, the Bruins stay on the road with another Pac-12 game at No. 19 Utah on Monday, Jan. 22.
