A top-5 showdown is on deck in women’s college softball, as No. 4 Oklahoma welcomes No. 3 Texas to Norman this weekend.
The Sooners (39-5) bounced back from a conference series loss to then-No. 22 Alabama on the road with a series sweep against Mississippi State last weekend. The series bumped up Oklahoma’s conference win total to 13 as it enters the final few series of conference play.
Opposite the Sooners is Texas (42-6), which has a bit of momentum on its side after earning a 1-0 midweek win over Oklahoma State on Wednesday. The Longhorns also enter this series with 13 conference wins and hope to keep their strong road record intact, which currently sits at 13-2.
