Meanwhile, Michigan rolled into Assembly Hall like a team on a mission, jumping out to a double-digit lead in under five minutes. The Wolverines stretched that advantage to 16 by halftime, drawing plenty of boos from the Indiana faithful.
But the Hoosiers weren’t going down without a fight. They clawed their way back from 17 down in the second half and tied things up with under four minutes left. In the end, though, Michigan held their nerve and escaped with a nail-biting 70-67 win.
