The Indiana Fever (11-14), winners of three straight games, continue to push for a postseason berth. The Fever traveled to Minnesota Sunday afternoon and squeaked an 81-74 victory in the first of three games between the clubs through the beginning of September.
It may not have been the prettiest win for the Fever, but it was a potential defining moment for a team that might continue to come together. Caitlin Clark scored 17 points despite shooting just 5-for-17 from the field, and Aliyah Boston added 17 of her own.
The Fever also held the Lynx to just 20 points in the paint and prevented the Lynx from getting too comfortable in an attempt to grab a late lead in front of a packed Target Center.

Indiana will have to turn the page rather quickly just days ahead of its Olympic break, as it will travel to take on a Dallas Wings (5-19) team that has struggled immensely since the season began. Dallas has lost three in a row, which included a six-point loss to the Los Angeles Sparks (6-17) Saturday night despite Odyssey Sims’ team-leading 23 points.
Can Indiana make it four in a row Wednesday night, or will the Wings pull off the upset?
